Do you run a bakery, butcher shop, department store, supermarket, hairdressers, etc.? We will make sure that you can register your temporary staff quickly, correctly and without any fuss.

Flexi-work jobs were originally intended for people who wanted to earn extra money in the hospitality industry. The flexi-job statute is open to individuals who are registered as employees with another employer and work at least on a 4/5 basis.

Since 1 January 2018 other employers can also take advantage of this option. It also became possible for retirees to take on flexi-work jobs.

Since this statute is more advantageous than the traditional approach for both the employer and the employee, it would be interesting to consider flexi-work jobs when hiring your staff.

As an employer, you only pay a 28% employer’s contribution. Withholding tax and regular social security contributions do not apply. For the employee, their net pay is the same as their take-home pay.

A restrictive list applies of joint industrial committees within which this statute can be applied:

  • PC 118.03 (Confectionery) bakeries
  • PC 119 Trade in food products
  • PC 201 Self-employed retail
  • PC 202 Food retail
  • PC 202.01 Medium sized food businesses
  • PC 302 Hotel business (hospitality industry)
  • PC 311 Large retail stores
  • PC 312 Department Stores
  • PC 314 Hairdressing and beauty care
  • PC 223 Sport
  • PC 303.03 Cinema
  • PC 304 Entertainment
  • PC 330 Health facilities and public health care facilities

If your company is covered by a joint industrial committee on this list, you are entitled to use flexi-job workers, also via agency contracts. Update-pro gives you the option to employ flexi-job workers for short or longer periods in a straightforward manner.
